Minecraft officially coming to iOS devices in 2011

Indie game developer, Markus Persson (or Notch), has announced that work has begun on a version of Minecraft for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices. Persson has told Gamasutra that it “make sense” to put it on touchscreen devices. Development of the game is being done by one of their new recruits, Aron Neiminen and it won’t receive the same amount of support as the PC / Mac / Online version.
