Sony batteries gets a recall – again

Computer makers Toshiba, Dell and HP have recalled over 100,000 laptops because of 40 reports saying that the laptop’s Sony 2.15Ah lithium-ion battery overheating. Sony Australia has issued a major recall for over 4000 Vaio TZ series laptops, over fears that those models could overheat or burn the laptop user. This comes after it recently discovered flaws with some TZ series notebooks sold between May 2007 and July 2008. Acer recalls battery

Taiwanese PC maker, Acer, has recalled 27,000 laptop batteries after they could short circuit. Guess who makes these… SONY! Sony has been under controversy over it’s PC and Music assets. In 2004, they inserted a DRM rootkit that made a security hole. In 2006, millions and millions of batteries were recalled from Dell, Apple, Toshiba and many others.
