Nintendo Switch gets a new psychological horror game, Infliction: Extended Cut

Infliction: Extended Cut, the psychological horror game from Caustic Reality and Blowfish Studios exploring the darkness haunting the remnants of a suburban family home, manifests for Nintendo Switch on 2 July.

Infliction: Extended Cut is an updated version of the award-winning game Infliction, finalist in the Australian Game Awards, apart of the Offical Selection in PAX2018, and winning 2018’s indie game of the year at Player2, well, you know what you’re getting yourself into with the Nintendo Switch variant.

The entire game has been overhauled and optimised for consoles thanks for the fine folk at Blowfish Studios. Extended Cut will include additional content, different endings, new unlockable experiences and a New Game Plus mode.

What’s new though?

You will be able to experience the challenges, puzzles, and original scare that legacy title had for us. However, New Game Plus offers a new challenge to those experienced players with difficulty set way up, with some exciting new puzzles and unique remixes of the old puzzles.

You get a real scare and a quality story

Wandering through an interactive nightmare set within the confines of a once-happy household, you should expect this to be a mind-bender. Piece together the mystery behind a harrowing series of events that occurred while struggling to survive encounters with an entity that relentlessly stands in the way of finding absolution.

So while you uncover the heartbreaking secrets from hidden messages, artwork, household objects, and other long lost traces of once a loving home. Find clues and use a range of items to unlock new paths and make discoveries while doing everything possible to avoid the evil presence embracing this residence.

Hide under tables or beneath beds and harness light sources like camera flashes to stun the spirit and momentarily escape its pursuit.
