Microsoft really wants you to buy the new Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets; and in order to entice you, Redmond has decided to give new owners of the tablets 200GB of storage on its SkyDrive cloud storage service – for free. And if that wasn’t good enough for you, they’re also throwing in one year free calling to landlines in 60 countries through Skype and unlimited access to Skype Wi-Fi – its Wi-Fi hotspot service with over 200 million hotspots worldwide.

The timing of the offer also comes at the same time where Microsoft is now offering SkyDrive users the option to purchase 200GB of additional storage for US$100 a year. The plan is suited towards those who have a lot of media stored on the cloud – such as photos from cameras and phones, video, etc.

The Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 come out in Australia on October 22, with a starting price of AUD$529.
