The PowerShot line is about to be expanded with the new announcement of the ELPH 530 HS and the ELPH 320 HS by Canon today. The three new cameras promise powerful optical zoom, Wi-Fi functionality and excellent image quality despite being in a pocketable size.
The ELPH 530 HS and 320 HS will both have Wi-Fi functionality which allow users to upload images and videos instantly to its iMAGE GATEWAY service, which will then cross post them to Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. The ELPH 530 HS will also include a 12x optical zoom; a 10 megapixel CMOS sensor lens that can also take 1080p video; and a 3.2-inch LCD touch screen display to navigate. It is expected to be out in black or white for an estimated retail price of US$349.99. It ships in April.
The ELPH 320 HS, however, has a 16.1-megapixel CMOS sensor with 5x optical zoom and records 1080p HD video. It also comes with a 3.2-inch LCD touch screen; and comes in four different colours (black, silver, blye and red). The digital camera will be out with a price tag of US$279.99 and ships in March.
No word on Australian availability with both.
