PHD, a marketing company, has copped some flack over its new video campaign titled “We are the Future”. Why? Because it reveals the extent of how PHD or other advertising companies will help its clients interact with “the next generation”.

Why is it bad? Despite the fact it is a very bad ad, it reveals some certain aspects of what advertising companies could use in 2021 – as the video says. Advertising companies could use data from people to interact with brands, even sell the data to data-mining companies more often to “interact” with brands. As well, the video shows that users could even get money from selling their own data.
