ViewSonic have revealed that it will release a 7 inch and 10 inch tablet in Australia during January 2011. The 7 inch features a Qualcomm MS 7227 CPU which runs at 600MHz and 512mb of internal memory and it also has 512mb of flash memory for strorage, expandable up to 32GB via a MicroSD card. It will ship with Android 2.2 Froyo, unlike most tablets shipping now. It also features a capacitive touch screen so that means MultiTouch! It also has a 3 megapixel camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front for video calling. It has WIFI 802.11 b/g and 3G connectivity including Telstra’s 850MHz network.

The 10 inch tablet is significantly different to the 7 inch version. It boasts a Intel Pine Trail-M N455 CPU which is 1.83GHz, 1GB DDR3 Ram (expandable to 2GB) and a 16GB SSD drive for storage. It has WIFI 802.11 b/g/n and 3G connectivity. You can run Android 2.2 or Windows 7 on the device.

No telco’s have announced they will be supporting the device but there is still awhile until it’s released. Could this be an iPad killer? Let us know in the comments.
