Images and specs for a new Android-powered tablet have been leaked on an Italian website NotebookItalia (translation via Google Translate). The tablet appears to be called the Folio 100 and looks like having the same dock connector as Apple on a cradle, but will also be running two app markets – The Android Market and Toshiba’s own marketplace.
According to the site, the device looks to be running Android 2.2 Froyo – heavily customised in order to suit the tablet – with a Tegra 2 processor. It has a 10.1-inch screen with a HDMI port, an SD/MMC card reader, 16GB of onboard storage and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. It also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G.
Battery life is said to be 7 hours – 3 hours less than the Apple iPad, which the device looks to be competing against.
