Twitter has announced that it will be overhauling the Twitter homepage (the one that you see because you haven’t logged in), which will include a scrolling trending topics bar, alongside the “top tweets” and those famous people and businesses that are using the service – and on that image above, you see Kevin Rudd. The last site redesign happened almost a year ago, so why make a change?
Most likely, the homepage was not that enticing because of the number of trends that were littering the site (including the horrible fangirls of Justin Bieber). However, as we seen – people like Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber attract many people to just follow them – and by showing who’s on Twitter, the same effect would likely happen. So get ready to have accounts that don’t update at all.
