RUMOUR MILL: Apple is said to be developing two new iPhones to debut sometime in the Summer (Australia’s winter), including one that will be heading to Verizon Wireless, according to a new report in the Wall Street Journal. Both rumours aren’t a shock. The first isn’t that surprising – mainly because Apple updates its iPhones almost every year (and it’s nearing the one year mark since the iPhone 3GS was released), while the second was rumoured for years.
According to the paper, one of the new models will have CDMA capability – which Verizon uses – according to people “briefed on the matter” and will be made by Pegatron (owned by ASUSTeK); while the other iPhone will be manufactured by the same company.
Engadget is also reporting that the new iPhone would be dubbed the iPhone HD, and will be announced on June 22nd
