NOKIA WORLD: Despite already being leaked to the public beforehand, Nokia has given the official seal of approval to the news that it will be selling the Nokia N97 mini, the companion to the its N97 phone. The phone is touted as being the stylish and smaller version of its parent.
The phone will have a 3.2-inch touch display and QWERTY keyboard, along with 8GB of on-board memory (expandable to 16GB via a microSD card), a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and has Bluetooth, A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and Wi-Fi.
It will also integrate with the Ovi line of services and its store, along with its planned lifecasting service, with Facebook – allowing users to publish their location and status updates directly to your profile with just a touch from its home screen. It is available for both the N97 and N97 mini via Nokia Beta Labs.
It is planned to hit Europe sometime in October at an estimated price of €450, before taxes and subsidies.
