Report: iPhone 2.2 firmware maybe getting Street View

MacRumors is reporting that the new beta version of the iPhone’s 2.2 firmware, it will have one feature that will be from the Google’s Android operating system: Google’s Street View.

The driver’s-eye-view-and-privacy-risk service plays a prominent part of the Android phone, T-Mobile (HTC) G1 – which will go on sale on October 22.

Other new features include the long, requested feature of turning off the autocorrect spelling feature, and the inclusion of Japanese emoji characters (on the left), 461 small icons that can be inserted in messages; in an attempt to gain some market share in Japan.

The beta release is not expected to be released until later this month.
