Optus to charge excess downloads

By on

Optus have unveiled their new “Fusion” plans, though controversy have been sparked. The new plans, ranging between 2GB and 20GB, will charge 15c for every megabyte over your internet usage limit, and will slow down the speeds if you reach a maximum of $300, and that is 2GB of extra download limits.

2GB is barely enough to download three movies from the internet.

A company spokeswoman said that they will be able to check their internet usage via tools, such as “We share concerns by others and believe it has become a magnet for tasteless video graffiti and we will be undertaking a prompt review of guidelines for posting content.”
