UPDATE [30/4/07]: We got a response…
Showcasing the ‘highest qualities’ of work… yeah right. 9rules is a network but more restrictive. So restrictive that their last round of sites to go through reached up 1,100 sites. It’s not really a community if it’s so restrictive. So how do many people want to join this list of ‘A List’ websites. Terence Huynh explains.
Before I do, let me introduce my very own network. Titled pointZERO network, we are not restrictive as 9rules are. So sign up today here. [I know, self promotion is last year’s fad]. Anyway, 9rules is the so called “A List” of the websites. So many sites wished to be part of that, as it can make your site have more promotion than you can get. But with the huge list, you may not get more than what you want, maybe less.
Signing into this restrictive community are done in rounds. It’s like a roll call before you leave for camp. Not many sites make it pass this far as they have 9 rules that you must follow, like the Ten Commandments…
- Love what you do.
- Never stop learning.
- Form works with function.
- Simple is beautiful.
- Work hard, play hard.
- You get what you pay for.
- When you talk, we listen.
- Must constantly improve.
- Respect your inspiration.
Their rules mean nothing if you don’t follow. It’s even an ‘honour’ to be part of the network. Lets see what Manga Maniac Cafe said…
“OMG! I’ve been accepted into the 9Rules blog network!! I’m so excited!”
… and here is another [that is more civilised] from Trout Underground…
“The Trout Underground is happy to announce that it’s now a member of the 9Rules Network – a community of top, kickass blogs. […] Soon, I’ll be hanging with famous celebrities and being photographed with Paris Hilton as she crawls in and out of limousines sans underwear.”
… Yes, just don’t quit your day job. Anyway, I think Paris Hilton has better things to do *cough*whoring*cough*. Yes, that so called “A List” will not get you to meet with the A-List Celebrities.
The network owners; Scrivs, Tyme and Mike, all check your sites. So this is another setback before you can join the list. But who is to know what makes your site great. Maybe porn is just the answer you need. By the way, Hello Technorati people who were searching for porn.
The Internet is filled with all kinds of crap, but this “exclusive community” is just getting in the way of what we want; an open, free, NON-EXCLUSIVE community that benefits everyone. Is that so much to ask? Yes.
