Fable III PC date and more

Lionhead Studios, the makers of the Fable series has announced that their latest game Fable III will be released on the PC.  The game is set to be released on May 17th in the US. The PC version will include a new and exclusive difficulty called Hardcore Mode. This new difficulty will allow the player to play at a higher level of difficulty.

New Halo: Reach DLC coming soon

Recently announced by Halo Waypoint, the upcoming map pack, the Defiant Map Pack is due to be released on the Xbox Live marketplace in March this year. The Map Pack will include three new maps, two multiplayer competitive maps: Condemned and Highlands; and a new Firefight map: Unearthed.

Square Enix reveals Final Fantasy XIII sequel

At Square Enix’s 1st Production conference, Square Enix has announce a direct sequel to the multi-million selling game Final Fantasy XIII.  The name of the game is called Final Fantasy XIII-2.  The game follows the naming tradition for sequels, similar to Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.  The game, like Final Fantasy X-2, is a direct sequel to the original game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops First Map Pack Preview

Today Treyarch, the creators of Call of  Duty: Black Ops, have released the first preview video of the first map pack, First Strike.  This map pack will be released on the 1st of February 2011 on the Xbox 360 and will cost 1200 Microsoft Points.  The details of the PC and PS3 release is currently unknown.

Halo:CE remake or Halo 4?

Rumour has it, that Microsoft’s newly formed Halo studio, 343 Industries, might’ve been assigned to create a Halo: Combat Evolved remake.

According to a few sources, this updated game could run on the Halo: Reach engine and might be released earlier than expected, probably earlier than a Halo 3 sequel. It is not known whether 343 Industries are deciding to remake Halo: Combat Evolved, or to continue on from Master Chief’s story. But it is certain that new Halo game will be released by 2012.

First Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC

Today Treyarch, the developers of the Call of Duty: Black Ops, have announced their plans on releasing the first DLC for the game. The DLC is called First Strike and is rumoured to cost US$15 but Treyarch have yet to disclose the cost.  The DLC is a map pack which will include four multiplayer maps, Berlin Wall, Discovery, Stadium and Kowloon; and one Zombie map called Ascension.  The sad news is that this DLC will be released on Xbox LIVE before being release on the Playstation Network.  The date for the Xbox LIVE released is February 1st.
