A New Jersey man has received a jail sentence for helping to send spam to more than 1.2 million AOL subscribers. Todd Moeller, 28, was sentenced for 27 months in a federal court in New York after being caught making a deal to a government informant to send e-mails ‘advertising’ a computer security program for 50 percent of the profits.

His old iPod nano caught on fire, leaving a burn hole from “his 15 seconds of flame”. “So I look down and I see flames coming up to my chest,” said Danny Williams to WSBTV, “I’m still kind of freaked out that after only a year and a half my iPod caught fire in my pocket.”

Mozy Acquired by EMC
BREAKING: TechCrunch is reporting that the Online Storage company Mozy has been acquired by EMC for $76 million.
Previous rumors claim that Google was to buy Mozy, but proven false. They just raised $1.9 million in venture capitalists. This is similar to eBay’s acquisition of StumbleUpon.
MySex Offender?
MySpace.com has now found and deleted over 29,000 profiles of convicted sex offenders, more than 4 times the number of 7,000 initially reported by MySpace in May. The information has been turned over to law enforcement agencies.
Cyber attack on Pentagon
A hacker has managed to penetrate an e-mail server at the Pentagon, leading over 1,500 email accounts offline. A spokesman said that the server did not contain top secret information. Few details were available about the cyber attack.
