According to BasBasBas.com, the Google-owned Blogger has been banned in Turkey since October 24 (or Friday if you can’t be bothered checking on the time). This ban also seems to be happening if you visited YouTube, another Google property. This follows a similar move by the Turkish government in Turkey to block WordPress.com.

WordPress.com no longer blocked
According to a tipster (and from Matt’s blog), WordPress.com was not supposed to be blocked, but one of the blogs. It had to do with a military officer which led to a court order. TTNet, the main telecommunication’s company, complied with the order, but some inexperienced employee blocked the whole WordPress.com domain instead. He soon realised and took action to fix it.

BREAKING NEWS (Kind of): WordPress.com, according to Matt Mullenweg, has been blocked in Turkey. Users saw a message “Access to this site has been suspended in accordance with decision no: 2007/195 of T.C. Fatih 2.Civil Court of First Instance.”
