Telstra has announced that it will be bringing out its first 4G phone running Windows Phone, parterning with HTC to bring the TITAN 4G to Australia – beating the Lumia 900 (which has been announced on Optus, but will run on its 3G network as opposed to its upcoming 4G LTE network) as the first WP7 phone for Australia.

The Federal Court has today overturned a previous decision that found Optus’ TV Now service not in breach of copyright by showing the matches on free-to-air on a short delay of two minutes. It now means that it will most likely go to the High Court for a final decision.
Another streaming service is coming to Australia – this time, it’s US-based MOG. However, unlike Rdio and JB Hi-Fi, MOG has partnered with Telstra to stream its entire music catalogue of music to Australians.

Launching today is the availability of Telstra Pre-Paid 4G and it’s the nations first Pre-Paid 4G offering. Customers will be able to use their Pre-Paid 4G stick in 4G coverage areas but also experience HSPA+ which allows a dual 3G connection. Telstra promises speeds up to 40Mbps on the 4G network. The USB stick is small in size and features a swivel USB connector allowing you to plug the stick in at any location. Customers can purchase the 4G stick today from any Telstra store for $129. It comes with 3GB of included data which an expiry of 30 days.
Today, Telstra have announced the Samsung GALAXY Tab 8.9 4G, the nations first 4G tablet. The GALAXY Tab 8.9 4G features a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a high definition 8.9 inch screen. It features Android 3.2 but can be upgraded to 4.0 in the future. The tablet also supports HSPA+ allowing Telstra customers to receive a dual 3G connection when they are out of 4G coverage.
BigPond has announced that it will soon switch off its own email service – BigPond Email – and will be migrating its customers to Windows Live. All new customers connected on or after today will be using the new service, with other customers expected to upgraded sometime during 2012.

PocketNow has been sent a picture of a LTE Windows Phone for AT&T and, according to the source, Telstra, supposibly called the HTC Radiant. While it looks like the already available (in the US) HTC Titan, PocketNow’s “reliable source” has said otherwise.
Telstra has announced that Google’s new flagship Ice Cream Sandwich handset, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, is now coming to Telstra.
This is great news as the previous flagship phone from Google, the Nexus S, was only available from Vodafone, whereas people who want this phone now have a choice of where to get it from.
