Samsung to bring out really thin laptop – the 9 Series

Samsung has just finished their press conference, and now we have some more products to get to. But when you thought the laptop was dead, Samsung brought out its thinnest and lightest laptop it has ever produced. Called the 9 Series, it features a 13.3-inch laptop, weighs less than 3lbs and it 0.64-inches thin.

New MacBook Air announced

Two years in the making, the new MacBook Air just announced includes some cool new hardware and features, as well as coming in 13.3″ and 11.6″ variations.

It features some features seen on the iPad, which Apple called ‘the iPad and Mac hooking up’.

In Brief: MacBook Air gets a price change

IN BRIEF: At its WWDC conference, Apple has announced a pricing change to its MacBook Air laptop. The thin notebook will now have a new entry-level pricetag of US$1,499 for a 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a 120GB hard drive and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics; and its 128SSD model with a 2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and same graphics card will now cost US$1,799.

MacBook Air hacked by security team

A team of security researchers have won themselves $10,000 for hacking into the MacBook Air in under two minutes by exploiting a Safari vulnerability.

This was done at the CanSecWest conference where there is a competition for hacking into the MacBook Air, Vista and Ubuntu. IDG News Service is reporting that on the first day, no one managed to execute any code as it was limited to over-the-network techniques on the OS itself.
