Apple must have been tinkering with their website, because now the normal Australian site is back up. This morning, the Beatles announcement page was up, in place of the normal site. But now, order has been restored. Phew.
Thought the iPod was dead? Well, it’s about to get some new life with reports of Apple set to hold an iPod-specific announcement sometime in September 8 (Melbourne and Tokyo time), despite the company’s recent break in announcement traditions.

Get the Rumour Mill churning. Latest Apple rumours are pointing towards an iTunes upgrade coming soon, with version 11 having a brand new user interface, full scale merger between the iTunes store and integration with iBooks and iCloud.
You can now be safely assured that you have bought the right track as Apple has now rolled out their 90 seconds preview on iTunes today for international markets – something that the Americans had since last year.
Steve Jobs just delivered one more thing at WWDC 2011, announcing iTunes Match.
For US$24.99 a year iTunes Match will scan your ripped (or pirated) music and match it with 256kbps DRM-free AAC songs from iTunes servers.
That’s right iOS lovers: Apple has released yet another update to iOS – in this case 4.3.1. The incremental update is a bug fixing update. It currently supports iPad 1, 2, iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3GS and 4th-3rd Gen iPod Touch.

The latest rumour to come from Apple is that Safari and iTunes are about to merge, with Safari – the fourth most popular browser after Internet Explorer, Firefox and WebKit-brother Chrome – piggybacking the success of iTunes to propel it to the top.
Well it was bound to happen sooner or later and it finally has occurred – call it a last-minute Christmas present from Skype. If you hop on over to iTunes or the App Store, there you will see that Skype has been updated to version 3.0 – a very large milestone, and has some important updates.
With iOS 4.2 for iDevices and ATV 4.1 for the Apple TV being released today, it may seem your download speed is being limited. But fear not! While searching the internet, I found that if you have the Google DNS Server set as your DNS settings, your download speed may be effected. So fire up your network settings and make sure you have the correct DNS settings to ensure top download speed.
It’s official. Apple has done what many had been expecting Apple to do for years. Sign a deal with The Beatles in order to get their entire catalogue to the popular iTunes store. All albums are iTunes LP, meaning that there is an interactive addition to the album only accessible within iTunes – such as lyrics and additional material such as videos.
If you have been a little late with the news today, Apple has placed a big, full-screen-sized image on their homepage, indicating a major change is about to arrive on iTunes. Many speculate this to be a Beatles-announcement that they have arrived on iTunes, while others believe this event will allow people to stream their libraries.
Whether Record Labels like it or not, Apple appears to have decided that song previews will be changed from 30 seconds to 90 seconds in the iTunes Music Store (US only for now).

iTunes 10 is now available for download off Apple Website. However, it appears the download page is having some identity crisis as it switches between iTunes 9 and iTunes 10. So jump on the website and download iTunes 10 right now. If it shows iTunes 9, then refresh the page and it will show iTunes 10. Weird right? This only appears to be an issue when downloading it for Mac OS X. The Windows page still only shows iTunes 9.2.1
