Hitachi has announced two new hard drives before CES 2012 starts – the 1TB Travelstar 5K1000 and the 4TB Deskstar 7K4000. While they will sold to OEMs, Hitachi will also use them for its G-Technology branded external hard drives, meaning consumers will be able to use them.
Dell has accused five Asian LCD manufacturers — Hitachi, Sharp, Toshiba, HannStar, and Seiko Epson – for price fixing in a lawsuit filed in the US District Court of San Francisco, according to a report on Reuters.
Nokia, the largest maker of phones in the entire world, has decided to sue Asian LCD panel makers – including LG, Sharp, Hitachi and Samsung – after alleging that all the parties colluded with each other to fix prices for their LCD displays, which are used almost anywhere today – including phones. Turns out, this is pretty common, with several LCD makers pleaded guilty in price fixing late last year in the US and were fined.
It looks like Hitachi has finally solve a common problem when watching 3D TV – the glasses. Its new “Full Parallax 3D TV” product, though only having a screen size of 10 inches, recreates a 3D image without you needing those geeky looking glasses, which come in a one-size-fits-all.
