Dell’s XPS 13, described by the company as the ‘most compact’ ultrabook, is launching today in Australia. Shown off at CES 2012, it managed to squeeze a 13.3-inch Ultrabook into the same size as an 11-inch laptop. Yes, we’re still wondering how that happens.
Alienware has announced a new gaming desktop that promises to deliver “extreme gaming performance” to gamers with blazing speeds and immerse graphics. Dubbed the Aurora, the desktop will run on the second generation of Intel Core i7 processors (i7-3000) among many different configuration setups.

Dell has, yesterday, announced that it will bring out a brand new 0.97-inch thick laptop called the XPS 15z – touted as one of the Dell’s thinnest and ultra-powerful laptops it has. Powered by an Intel Core i7 or i5 chip, no doubt that this is Dell’s competitor to the MacBook Pro.
Dell’s foray into tablets is soon to get even bigger with at least six new tablets – two Windows 7 tablets and four Android tablets – coming soon this year, after a leaked image of Dell’s entire roadmap for its tablets lineup was posted on the internet.

Dell is about to join the long list of computer makers to have added 3D to their desktops and laptops, as it plans to have three desktops and laptops to allow customers to view their 3D content on their screen. And yes, you will need to wear the glasses.
Dell’s press conference also unveiled the Dell Streak 7, its new tablet offering as part of its Streak line. Now running Android 2.2, the tablet will take advantage of US carrier T-Mobile’s 4G network, allowing users to download content at near-broadband speeds.

Dell is to feature a brand new netbook as part of its laptop showcase at this year’s CES, according to a posting by Italian blog NotebookItalia.it, with the Dell Latitude 2120. The 10.1-inch netbook is said to feature a touchscreen and the new Intel Atom N550 processor.

Now as it reaches nearly its tenth year as an operating system, and trust me, that’s a pretty long time, Microsoft will finally see Windows XP see the death kernel as Dell has announced that it will stop the sales of Windows XP laptops on October 1.
Remember that Dell concept with that 5-inch screen? Well, turns out it’s no longer a concept. The Dell Streak (yes, weird name) is set to hit the US in late July after launching previously in the UK. NEWS IN BRIEF: A Dell executive has confirmed reports that the company is in talks with Google to put the Chrome OS – which is based on the browser – on its laptops. According to Amit Midha, the President for Greater China and South Asia for Dell, the company are talking about the use of the OS and its future. “We have to have a point of view on the industry and technology direction two years, three years down the road, so we continuously work with Google on this,” he told Reuters.
