CBS finishes CNET acquisition
CBS Corporation has finally finished their acquisition of CNET, bringing CNET.com, ZDNet, BNET, TechRepublic, GameSpot, GameFAQs, TV.com, Movietome, Chow, MP3.com, Search.com, Metacritic, UrbanBaby, MySimon and all of its international websites to the leadership of CBS Interactive.
CNET getting new look – new logo and design
Dan Farber from CNET has written up a blog post showing a brand new design and logo for CNET.com. The logo sees CNET being "cnet" and not "c|net" – changing the logo for the first time.

CBS buys CNET Networks for $1.8 billion
CBS Corporation has announced today that it has bought CNET Networks for $1.8 billion in cash,or $11.50 per share – representing a 44.6% premium on last night’s closing price of $7.95.
CNET Networks and Yahoo in new partnership
While both CNET Networks and Yahoo are facing threats on their companies, both companies have announced a partnership which will provide content to Yahoo sites and will cross-sell advertising.
The new venture will bring about $100 million in revenue for the next three years for CNET Networks, who publishes CNET, GameSpot, TV.com and many other properties in the US and internationally. It is set to launch in the third quarter.
