Fujifilm has decided to welcome the first year of the new decade with a huge onslaught of cameras, as it plans to launch eleven new cameras – not including the ones previously covered – at this year’s CES – all having one thing in common: affordability (except for the last one).

Fujifilm has announced three brand new HD cameras as part of its overall refresh to its “S-Series” line of SLR cameras. The new cameras are the FinePix S2950, FinePix S3200 and FinePix S4000 – and all four features have 14 megapixel lenses.

Samsung is to bring out, as part of its 2011 camera and camcorder lineup, a new HD camcorder that they claim will be affordable, compact and easy to use. Dubbed the HMX-Q10, the camcorder is very simple – only featuring some buttons and an LCD screen, and has been designed so it can be held at any direction.

They all feature a 35.7mm wide-angle lens, which Panasonic says that it is perfect for shooting in a variety of different scenarios like self-portraits and outdoor landscapes.

SANYO has announced what they call the thinnest, smallest and lightest camera, the Dual Camera Xacti VPC-CS1 – and this time, it can record in HD (1920 x 1080 pixels). It has an 8 megapixel lens to shoot pictures, 10x zoom, a mini HDMI port to view the HD video recorded in the clearest picture it can be and is compatible with the Eye-Fi card – allowing your images to be uploaded to a computer automatically without plugging it in.
