Updated: Wikipedia down because of power outage

Wikipedia LogoWikipedia, along with the sites belonging to the Wikimedia Foundation, experienced a two hour outage, after a power outage happened at its Florida-based data center, according to Wikipedia.

Overheating problems were initially reported to be the cause of the outage, similar to an incident that happened in March – which took the site down for more than a couple of hours.

Australia, UK to get iPad on May 28, New Zealand to get it in July

Now we have a date. Apple has confirmed that Australians will be getting the iPad on May 28 – along with Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Span, Switzerland and the UK; and will be able to pre-order the device starting Monday, May 10. The iPad will be sold for $629 for the 16GB model, $759 for the 32GB and $879 for the 64GB. For the models with Wi-Fi + 3G: the 16GB model will cost $799, $928 for the 32GB and $1049 for the 64GB.

Breaking : Jobs has hormonal imbalance, will get treatment

Apple’s CEO and co-founder Steve Job has said that his doctors have discovered a hormonal imbalance that has been causing his weight loss; and will undergo a “relatively simple” treatment.

“My doctors think they have found the cause—a hormone imbalance that has been “robbing” me of the proteins my body needs to be healthy. Sophisticated blood tests have confirmed this diagnosis,” he said in a letter released to the public.
