Apart from the disc-to-digital software from the other model, Wi-Fi, DLNA, this model also has 2 HDMI ports, which is meant to streamline your devices into this player. So instead of plugging a console into the TV, you plug it into this.

LG brings out 250GB Blu-Ray player

LG has announced the first Blu-Ray Disc player to feature a 250GB hard drive – which is handy, especially when it is integrated with the VUDU service, allowing users to watch and purchase movies online. The BD590 can also copy their CD music collection, and use the Gracenote-powered MusicID feature so all the information of the album, including cover art and track listings, are added to the metadata.
TDK creates 320GB disc, stacks 10 layers on single disc
TDK is known to push the boundaries in storage devices, as it showed of a possible 960GB laptop drive and a 3.2TB desktop drive – yeah, you heard that right. But in preparation of the CEATEC trade show in Japan, TDK has announced that it has now pushed the boundaries in the optical storage devices world with a 10-layer, 320GB disc, and it still looks like an ordinary disc.

Adamo to have Blu-Ray, DisplayPort?
RUMOUR MILL : Dell’s new Adamo laptop, which is set to be a competitor to Apple’s ultra-thin MacBook Air, is believed to have a couple of features – thanks to a Google cache search on its accessories for the new laptop. The new laptop is set to have a 45-watt power adapter, which is not really special; but will also feature the new DisplayPort and a 2X Blu-Ray combo drive.
Samsung Blu-Ray players come with Netflix streaming
Samsung is now offering a brand new update to its Blu-Ray players to let them stream Netflix movies to their players, and allow you to fast forward, rewind, browse and rate movies to watch instantly from your queue of movies. The fist players to support this is the BD-P2500 and the BD-P2550, with more coming soon.
