ASUS release new Tablets for CES

It time for CES, ASUS have released four brand new tablet computers, designed for home and work use. The operating systems available for the tablets are Microsoft Windows 7 and Google Android. The ASUS tablet range will suit anyone, whatever they do on their computers. Oh and, they work with Flash… Take that iPad.

WSJ: New iPhone on the way, one going to Verizon?

RUMOUR MILL: Apple is said to be developing two new iPhones to debut sometime in the Summer (Australia’s winter), including one that will be heading to Verizon Wireless, according to a new report in the Wall Street Journal. Both rumours aren’t a shock. The first isn’t that surprising – mainly because Apple updates its iPhones almost every year (and it’s nearing the one year mark since the iPhone 3GS was released), while the second was rumoured for years.

Acer working on frameless laptop, touchscreen keyboard

RUMOUR MILL: Apple’s war against keys might have another ally, though it might be taking it a bit too far. Acer is rumoured to be working on a frameless laptop that will have a touchscreen keyboard, allowing to make the laptop in an ultra-thin form-factor while reducing material costs. This rumour, however, is from Digitimes, so I would take it with a pinch of salt; but the idea isn’t farfetch then it sounds. According to Engadget, Fujitsu is working on a similar concept, while ASUS is working on a dual-display laptop prototype with a touchscreen keyboard.

Intel brings app store to netbooks

CES 2010 BlockIntel has decided to follow in Android, Apple, Blackberry and Nokia’s footsteps in opening up an app store. This endeavour, however, will not be mobile phones, nor for laptops, but for the netbook laptops. Called the Intel AppUp, it will allow users to find, download and purchase software that would run fine on the Atom processor. Applications selected will run on either Windows or Moblin-based operating systems, but will also offer applications that use Adobe Air and Microsoft Silverlight in the near future.

ASUS goes pink and brown with new Eee PC model

ASUS has brought out a new Eee PC, and this time it has gotten a more designer feel to it, with the launch of the Karim Rashid Collection. While they come in Hot Pink and Coffee Brown (that one also has gold glitter and features soft-to-touch material); it still features a 10.1-inch display with an Intel Atom processor. It also has 1GB of RAM – that is upgradable, a 250GB (or 320GB) hard drive, a 1.3 megapixel camera and a MMC/SD card reader. The usual ports are also featured.

ASUS brings new laptop for the “corporate elite”

Joining its line of “business” notebooks, the ASUS B80A is claimed to be the “flagship system” for the entire line up, according to the press release. It features a 14.1 inch WXGA (or WXGA+) screen, a choice of either a T9400, T5850, P8600 or P7350 Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM and a choice between 160GB, 250GB and a 320GB SATA hard drive.

Apple Tablet PC is real! says Asus….

Asus is helping Apple build a Tablet PC, Stewart Wilson reports.

I, Stewart Wilson hate Apple, I have an Apple iPod Nano first generation and only use it RARELY. It hardly leaves my room but according to cnet, Asus is help APPLE to build a new Tablet Mac PC. According to Asus it will be completely different to their other tablet pc’s.
