Apple Inc. is the manufacturer of the popular iPhone, iPod and Macintosh products. Founded in April 1, 1976, the company is known for its distinctive advertising campaigns and its loyal customer base that are devoted to the brand, many of whom are located in the United States. It’s current CEO is Steve Jobs, who is also the co-founder of the company and serves as the Chairman of the Board.

Apple place restrictions on iPhone

Apple is set to enforce restrictions to customers who want to get the iPhone, limiting them to 2 per customer and by card (most likely a SIM Card).

An Apple spokesman quoted by the AP news agency said that to “ensure that there are enough iPhones for people who are shopping for themselves or buying a gift.” Kind of lame, but this move is mostly linked to the iPhone being unlocked.

iTunes cracks 3 billion

iTunes has finally cracked the 3 billion mark since it’s launch April 2003, though it’s 1 billion songs was reached in February 2006.

In the first quarter of this year, it was ranked the third-biggest overall music retailer in the US, behind No. 1 Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Best Buy, according to consumer surveys by The NPD Group. However, this was based on units sold, not revenue, and counted every 12 tracks purchased online, as it is an equivalent to an album.
