TECH.GEEK is announcing a change in how the site is written and managed.
Managing the Site
The site has received many hacks in its past and now will see the removal of the suspects from their Editor positions into Author positions. Further action will be taken, and many suggestions will be taken. The suspects have been identified as Jay Day and Stewart Wilson, both who have confessed into hacking the server where the site is held before.
Jay Day and Stewart Wilson have been suspects for a long time, as their knowledge of PHP and MySQL are better than mine, which is none. Stewart Wilson is on leave until March/April. If attacks don’t happen in the four-five weeks, I may consider placing their accounts as Editors.
Writing
TECH.GEEK wishes to announce that we have some addition to the team. Sean Hyatt will be writing for TECH.GEEK and will also start writing the now-restarted category of Tips, Tricks & Hacks. He was added yesterday.
Also, another addition is Luke Chandler, coming from all the way from SRS NZ (a.k.a LeoNet). You may have heard him from our TECH.GEEK Podcast. We don’t know what he will be writing, but it is most likely going to be all subjects.
Their RSS and Atom feeds will be up soon in our RSS pages, and also some brand new tag RSS feeds too.
reawakennetworks on Netvibes
The reawakennetworks has now a universe on Netvibes under my name. The universe is to give people access to the latest news from alfahosts to XC Hosting, with TECH.GEEK, the blog network and many other members in between.
If it becomes popular, it may catch on.
So that’s about it on TECH.GEEK’s plans for 2008. It only took us about a few days to figure what we wanted to do.
