What is RSS
RSS (or Really Simple Syndication) contains summaries or full text of the content on a particular website. It is also used to keep iTunes to keep you up-to-date with podcasts or vodcasts (the video equivalent of a podcast). The RSS feed can be read by an “Aggregator”. Some examples online are My Yahoo!, Newsgator, Netvibes and iGoogle. As well, some can be installed on your computer, like Windows Live Mail (requires a Windows Live Passport). If you don’t want to bother with online software or the software yourself, many internet browsers have an RSS reader themselves.
