Australia’s quest for an adults only rating has finally come into fruition with NSW agreeing to adopt the rating in principle. Nintendo has just announced a price cut for their less than successful portable console, the Nintendo 3DS. From the 12th of August the Nintendo 3DS will be available for AU$249.95, a $100 price cut.

The attorneys-general from the states and territories, in addition to their federal counterpart, have now agreed to create an adult classification rating for video games sold in Australia, finally aligning the system with its other Western counterparts.
The New South Wales and South Australian Governments are in the news because of their decisions in relation to the debate on the R18+ rating, with NSW saying that it will not vote for an R18+ rating while SA are planning to introduce the rating as a replacement of the MA15+ rating.
Mojang, the game developer behind the hit game Minecraft, has been working on a Portable Edition of Minecraft for Android and iOS for a while now. About an hour ago, @kappische posted an update on the Minecraft Facebook page saying that he would be live streaming a demonstration of Minecraft – Portable Edition at 3.00pm CET, which is 11pm EST.
