With the PlayStation Vita launch in Japan just a few weeks away and the Australian launch just a few months away Sony has finally announced the complete launch line-up for Europe/Australia/NZ.
No, we’re not joking. Sony has just announced Motorstorm RC for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita downloadable via PSN, a game that will replace the real cars from regular Motorstorm games with virtual remote control cars. Is the release also April 1? Trailer after the break.

Dance Central 2 users will be pleased to know that downloadable content is now heading their way. Microsoft has announced that it will add more songs from Lady Gaga and Rihanna to its long list of songs via downloadable content.

While its been known for some time now that AT&T would supply 3G coverage in the US and that NTT DoCoMo would provide it in Japan, Sony has been quiet on details for Europe and Australia. But today Sony has announced that the PlayStation Vita 3G version will ship with a Vodafone SIM and provide 3G connectivity via the Vodafone 3G network. Vodafone has also announced that it will be selling the Vita through its retail stores and online.

I'm on a horse
Despite universal acclaim, Bethesda’s amazing game Skyrim still has bugs, some of which range from funny to frustrating. But Bethesda’s VP of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, has tweeted good news, saying:

The New South Wales’ Attorney General, Greg Smith, has told Seven News yesterday that he wants to see Grand Theft Auto and other similar games banned, despite Australia introducing an R18+ classification rating for games, claiming that they are unsuitable.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was revolutionary in every sense of the word. The freedom to expore this massive landscape, from the mountain ranges to the city and to the countryside. And now Rockstar Games have revealed that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V will revisit the incredible city with a next-gen redesign. It’s not the same game, but with the same city it will be incredible.

This is not a drill. Rockstar Games has just announced on their website that a new Grand Theft Auto game is in the works. Grand Theft Auto V will probably come in 2012 – 2013, but no official details have been revealed except that a trailer for the game will be coming on November 3 AEDT. The current homepage for Rockstar Games is simply a logo and a promise of a trailer.

I have never been this jealous in my life. The Gadget Show, which was shown here on ONE HD for a while, is a television show from Channel 5 in the UK. The latest episode has had the hosts create a complete first-person shooter simulator that plays Battlefield 3 on PC. Not only is it a success, but it is an overall amazing project. Sadly you’ll probably have to be a millionaire to get your own FPS simulator, with the project costing £500,000, which is around $750,000 AUD. It’s expensive but cool. And you can check out the segment after the break.
Nintendo will be holding a press event this Friday night at 10PM (AEDT) the 21st of October 2011 from Japan. Andriasang, is reporting that the event is called the ”Nintendo 3DS New Information Internet Presentation.”
Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has finally announced an Australian price and release date for the PlayStation Vita, their new portable gaming system.
The PlayStation Vita will be available from February 23, 2012 and will come in two varities. A WiFi PSV will be for AUD$349.95 for Australia, NZD$449.95 for our New Zealand readers and €249.99 for Europe. Meanwhile the 3G and WiFi version will be AUD$449.95, NZD$549.95 or €299.99. The prices are hefty, especially for a system that will likely be used exclusively for gaming, but this isn’t surprising from Sony. Anyone remember the PlayStation 3?
Forza 3, released in 2009, was Microsoft’s second shot on the Xbox 360 at the major car simulation market dominated by Sony’s juggernaut Gran Turismo franchise. It was an extraordinary attempt from Take 10 Studios and was received well. Sales still didn’t match the, in my opinion, inferior Gran Turismo 5, but it was a brilliant game which was unfortunately up against a bigger brand.

Sony Ericsson’s hit-and-miss Xperia Play will be getting another exclusive game this November, adding to the 150 games currently optimised for the phone including Minecraft:Pocket Edition.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light was released on iOS, PS3 and Xbox 360 in August and will make it’s Android debut exclusively on the Xperia Play in November. The exclusivity is timed, so the game will eventually come to regular Android phones, but the deals length is unknown.

Never heard of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron? Well, that means you been living under a rock for the last couple of months. The latest game from little known developer Ignition and distributed by Konami is out in Australia, after being first released in America and Japan. But is this game actually any good?
