Back in May of this year, Sega unveiled their next big game; Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing. The game will involve Sonic and Sega characters, past and present, racing in magnificent courses set in each character’s world. In total, Sega has said that there will be more than 20 playable characters, including hidden characters. Sega has also just released a new trailer, emphasizing the inclusion of Nintendo 64 character legends Banjo-Kazooie and the inclusion of Avatars as playable characters. Rumour: Nintendo’s next console might be called the Zii after recent trademark
After the recent filing of a trademark for the name Zii, speculation has occurred on the internet that it might be Nintendo’s next console. Although to contradict the above statement, Nintendo have also filed a trademark for Cii, Bii and Yii suggesting it be a protective trademark. Nintendo have also refused rumours that it may be a Wii HD.

Another game banned in Australia
It seems as if the Australian Classification Office of Film and Literature are just trying to fry everyone’s bacon. Just recently after CrimeCraft’s overall ban in Australia and Left 4 Dead 2’s modified version, Aliens vs. Predator has been banned from store shelves. Explaining why it was banned, the board said the gameplay included explicit decapitation, dismemberment as well as stabbing through the chest, throat, eyes and mouth. To stay true to the movies, the Predator explicitly rips off human spinal cords and uses the rest as a trophy.
Gang-based MMO banned by Classification Board
The Classification Board has added another game to the refused classification list, effectively banning the sale of the game; as the R18+ debate still continues. The game in question, CrimeCraft, is a third-person shooter that allows the player to challenge and beating rival gangs in a lawless city. However, while the Classification Board has said that that violence is okay, it was banned because “there is insufficient delineation between the ‘fictional drugs’ available in game and real-world proscribed drugs,” according to its report seen by GameSpot UK.
Nintendo release Wiiware demos
Just a week ago, Nintendo have announced that they will release demo’s for many Wiiware games, old and new. Currently, there are several demos including Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord, Pokemon Rumble and Bit.Trip.Beat.
Guitar Hero 6 is already in development
Just a couple of months after the launch of Guitar Hero 5, rock group ‘Tesla’ have confirmed in an interview with Bravewords.com that their song ‘Modern Day Cowboy’. Activision as well, has just released information during an investor’s call that they will be releasing the next Guitar Hero game in 2010.

Boy calls police after parents takes his Xbox
Is it illegal for your parents to take away your Xbox? What? Did you actually think we would give you the answer?
For a 15-year-old boy from Buffalo Grove, IL, he called the police to find out that question after his parents decide to take his Xbox as punishment and used dialled 911 to call the police before hanging up, like all brave teenagers; according to a story reported by the Chicago Tribune.
Survey: 60 percent of Xbox 360s fail in Britain
Turns out, the Xbox 360 dying is common after all, especially when a CNET UK survey found that sixty percent of the 1,128 who participated in a commissioned survey – and that has to be some news that Microsoft isn’t happy to see, especially after boasting it was the “most reliable” console out there.
Star Wars: The Old Republic Battle of Bothawui video
Bioware have posted another video in their timeline series on the official Star Wars: The Old Republic website,. It depicts a battle between the Sith and the Jedi which resulted in a draw. The battle was the first major defeat of the Empire’s ships which led to boosted morale in the Galaxy against the Empire, that they could be matched in strength. Several weeks later though, the Empire ordered several hundred ships to destroy what was left of Bothawui. Check it out on the official website.

New PS3 accessory to compete with TiVo in PVR market
Turns out, your PlayStation 3 might actually be a better solution to Freeview’s own version of Foxtel’s iQ2 PVR, the TiVo.
Sony Australia has announced that it will be bringing the PlayTV to Australia. The device, already launched in some European countries including the United Kingdom and France, allows the PlayStation 3 to record, watch and pause live free-to-air TV.
