Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and gaming platforms for Windows Phone 7 was the main focus of Microsoft’s latest announcements, rather than Windows PCs, as its announced new games for the mobile OS and some improvements to the UI for some Xbox 360 experiences – but also a new feature for Kinect.

Microsoft has used its keynote to unveil the newest version of the Surface platform it has developed. Now collaborating with Korean electronics maker Samsung, Surface 2.0 brings a much needed stylised redesign, making it more like an actual table rather than a box.

So Motorola appears to having its fingers in many pies – with the launch of another 4G phone, but for the carrier Verizon. Still under the DROID banner of Android phones, the DROID Bionic will be the first phone for Motorola under Verizon’s LTE standard.

Motorola seems to be betting on 4G, as the company has announced that it will launch a tablet that will not be on the 3G network, but also on Verizon’s 4G network – or LTE – as this year’s CES is being inundated with tablet after tablet.

Motorola’s resurgence has seen the company take a step forward with their phones, partially thanks to their adoption of Google Android. And now, they have taken it to the next level with their new addition to their phone line, announced today at CES – the Motorola ATRIX 4G.

Motorola has announced some brand new phones out at its CES 2011 press conference – including its successor to the CLIQ (DEXT outside of the US), titled the CLIQ 2. The phone will feature a 3.7-inch touchscreen with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and as the leaks foretold, it will have a honeycomb-inspired layout for the keyboard.
