LG ST600 Smart TV Upgrader brings TV Apps, DLNA and a web browser to older TV’s

Straight from SEOUL is the LG ST600 Smart TV Upgrader – sounds like a mouthful but what does it do? Well, nearly all new LG TV’s have something called “Smart TV” which is a sort of gateway to the internet from your TV. You can stream videos from the internet or from another computer in your house, browse the internet in a web browser and even download “TV Apps”. However, some older TV’s are missing out on this technology and LG has came out with a fix. This little set-top-box sort of device simply plugs into your TV and boom – all the features of LG Smart TV are on your older TV set at home. No need to buy a new TV.

TGS: The Last Guardian (PS3) trailer

Sony has released an HD trailer for upcoming game The Last Guardian.

The trailer finally gives us a glimpse at what the gameplay will be like. The story involves the two main characters, a giant dog-like beast and a young boy. Together the two venture out into the world and solve puzzles, by using the beast to get the boy to high places and use his strength to move large objects. The Last Guardian looks to be a charming game,  and is set to be released in Autumn 2011.

Duke Nukem Forever back from the dead!

In some bizarre news this morning, Gearbox have unveiled a trailer and gameplay footage at the Penny Arcade Expo of Duke Nukem Forever, the game-to-be that was 12 years in production – and last year cancelled. Since 3D Realms have become bankrupt, Gearbox have secretly taken over work on the game. Gearbox are most notable for last years shooter/RPG game, Borderlands.
