Kubix… Another CMS!

Yes, ScoreScripts (Owned by Stewart, part of the reawakennetworks) and Brandon have taken up doing the Kubix Script after the original developer has decided to drop it. So, if you love to help them, just join them at their site. I, however, won’t be helping because I’m currently tied up doing the relaunch of the pointzero site, a community based site where you (Yes You!) put the content up!; and the new reawaken site. Plus, I have no idea about PHP; I know a bit of CSS though…

Ancient Rome is alive… digitally

Computer experts have unveiled a digital reproduction of Ancient Rome as it appeared in it’s peak of power at 320AD. This $2 million project was used to do scientific calculations, such as determining the crowd capacity of the ancient buildings.

Watchdog Group slams Google on Privacy…

The Washington Post has a news piece saying that Google’s Privacy practices are the worst among the world. This comes from a report released London-based Privacy International, whom assigned Google with the lowest grade. Interesting, 22 other companies surveyed; including Microsoft, Yahoo! and AOL, didn’t sink to that level.

Church of England labels Sony game ’sick’

The Church of England has accused Sony for using an English Cathedral as a backdrop to a violent video game and said it must be removed from shelves. They also say that Sony didn’t ask permission to use the Manchester Cathedral in the game and has demanded an apology. The game in question is the “Resistance : Fall of Man” for the PS3, where it shows a virtual shoot out with hundreds of people killed inside the cathedral

Vietnam releases pro-democracy protester

Vietnam has released one of its well known ‘cyber’ dissidents, two weeks before the President of Vietnam makes an historic visit to the US. Nguyen Vu Binh was released from the Nam Ha prison after been given ‘presidential amnesty.’ This comes after the President announced that three will be released, the other two haven’t been named.
