Atari has revealed that it has been served with a non-compliance notice from NASDAQ and now is facing a delisting. According to the notice, the Paris-based company has not filed it’s yearly earnings report. It has appealed to the NASDAQ Listing Qualifications Panel, which suspends the suspension until the panel has given it’s ruling.

360 Bad Luck…Down Under
According to GameSpot AU, in turn from a insider, about 2 weeks ago all EB Games stores across Australia were told to return all XBOX 360s in stock back to Microsoft. As well, checking the website they had their XBOX 360 product page saying it was sold out. This was also true when GameSpot asked the stores.
Watchdog sues Google
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the Australian equivalent to the Federal Trade Commission in the US, has now launched legal action on Google and the Trading Post, which is owned by Telstra under the Sensis brand.

Sony: No Price Cut for Europe
Sony has said that the price cut will only effect North America only, and not anywhere else. This has been a blow to all European and Aussie gamers; where in Australia, they pay at AU$999 for the 60GB version. Both markets do not stock the 20GB version. As well, another blow comes from the fact that the 80GB version will not be coming to Europe and Australia.

Adobe has issued 3 critical system updates for it’s popular Flash program, with one designed to stop a problem in a way Flash interacts with browsers, which could result in users’ key strokes transmitted to the attacker.

Anyway, Nintendo has just announce that it has passed the 40 million mark for their Wii, a few months ago. It has also saw it’s audience expanding, with 114% in Japan. As well, The DS has double its share. Plus, it has also said that the 14 of the top 20 best selling Wii games are from Third Party Developers.

Viva Party Animal
Fans of the Viva Pinata game, exclusively made for the 360, will be happy as a sequel will be made. Titled as “Viva Pinata : Party Animal”, a brief trailer was shown at the press conference; showing colourful animals playing various mini-games, according to GameSpot. This game will be developed by Krome Studios; not the original developer, Microsoft-owned Rare Inc.
Focus on the 360…
Microsoft has announced that an Halo-themed XBOX 360 will be released. Dubbed the “XBOX 360 Special Edition Console”, this comes with a Spartan Green coloured console with a gold trim. The controllers will be the same colour as the console. It will feature a 20GB hard drive, headset and a play and charge kit. It is unknown if the controller will be wireless.
