New backdoor Trojan discovered of OS X

OSX/Tsunami-A, a new Trojan horse for Mac OS X has been discovered by Sophos. The Trogan is a port of the linux virus, Troj/Kaiten. Which embeds itself into the system and listens for commands on an IRC network. What makes this Trojan particularly nasty is that the controller can instruct your computer to DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) a particular computer/server/ip address. The trojan also allows the controller to run any script or command on your Mac as they wish.

1 million pre-orders in the first 24 hours perhaps isn’t the greatest context in which to read this article, but suffice to say, Apple’s sales numbers rarely have any coalescence with the activities of their business. The original iPhone 4 was marred by antenna problems, only to cleverly be called ‘antennagate’ in the closed circles of tech fans whilst consistently ranking as the best selling smartphone worldwide. So to say that I’m unsurprised over my knowledge of the iPhone 4S’s phenomenal pre-order statistics would be an understatement.
