HBO will no doubt be angry today as it appears that the first four episodes of the new season of its hit show Game of Thrones have been leaked online to torrent sites – just a day before the show’s return tomorrow.
According to several online reports, the torrents are definitely real – though I’ve heard a report from Twitter that episode two is just episode one again. They are likely to have come from someone who had access to preview screeners of the first four episodes, which were released to reviewers ahead of the premiere.
The leaked episodes are in 480p (not in high definition), have their on-screen watermark blurred out, and come from a private tracker called IPTorrents. However, if you do plan to download the episodes – we suggest you don’t, for obvious reasons – just bear in mind that ISPs have a three-strikes policy and could hand your information to the copyright owners.
