Mario Kart 8 Premium Wii U Bundle, new Wii Remote Plus designs confirmed for Australia

With just over a month left to the launch of the widely anticipated Mario Kart 8 on 31st May 2014, Nintendo Australia has just confirmed that there will be a new Premium Wii U Bundle featuring Mario Kart 8. This bundle contains the regular inclusions for the Premium Pack, including a 32GB black console, black GamePad, sensor bar and access to Nintendo Network Premium, with a Hard Copy of Mario Kart 8 replacing Nintendo Land.  This will retail for $429.95, which is the standard price for a Wii U premium bundle, If you have been waiting for Mario Kart 8 to buy a Wii U and don’t want Nintendo Land, this may be your best option.

Furthermore, Nintendo Australia has also confirmed that in addition to the console they will also be releasing two new Wii Remote Plus controllers, one designed like Princess Peach and the other like Yoshi. This is following up from the the Mario and Luigi Wii Remote Plus controllers that were released last year. These will retail at the normal price of $69.95 each.

However, if you did want to a much better deal for only an extra few dollars, I would recommend the Mario and Luigi Premium Wii U Bundle from Big W which includes the 32GB black console and GamePad, as well as New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi Bros U for only $378 (save $50) and add Mario Kart 8 separately for $79 for the total price of $457. Therefore, for an extra $27 dollars you are getting the same console but with three great games instead of one. The console offer is only available online at https://www.bigw.com.au/entertainment/video-games-consoles/wii-u/WiiUConsoles/bpnBIGW_AID126178/wii-u-console-mario-and-luigi-black-premium-pack.jsp;jsessionid=O4QvZTcIwsXNHt-DYbbNTA__.ncdlmorasp1104?bmUID=klEy2du
