Free Xbox Live Gold this weekend

Aimed at Silver members, Microsoft is offering free Xbox Live Gold this weekend, from October 4 to 6. Player will be able to access apps and features exclusive to Gold members, and most importantly, be able to play multiplayer/online.

Also with GTA Online now available (but not fully functional), players will be able to bust a cap in random strangers, or you can play the Battlefield 4 open beta which starts on the 4th. The closed beta has already started, only for Premium members, players who have pre-ordered Battlefield 4, or those who have bought MoH: Warfighter Limited/Deluxe Editions.

The promotion will go live in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the U.K., the U.S., and Vietnam.

Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico will get free Xbox Live Gold  from October 11 to 14, while Japan will get it from November 7 to 10.

Also with Microsoft’s Games with Gold program, current Gold users can download Might & Magic Clash of Heroes for free from October 1 to 15,¬†while Halo 3 will be available from Oct. 16 to 31.
