Nokia releases the Nokia 625, the most affordable 4G Windows Phone

Nokia have announced the Lumia 625, a Windows Phone with a massive 4.7-inch display. However, this is no means a high-end smartphone. Nokia will be marketing this the the low-end market. With super-fast 4G connectivity, this will be the most affordable 4G Windows Phone.

The Lumia 625 has a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU and 512MB RAM to power the Windows Phone 8 operating system. Included is 8GB of internal storage with the option of up to 64GB of extra storage on Micro-SD. The main camera is 5MP with the front facing camera being a standard VGA camera.

Nokia will be releasing the phone with the Amber update with GDR2 – including Nokia Smart Camera, offering features like removing unwanted people or objects from photos, stitching multiple photos together and Nokia Cinemagraph, which turns photos into living memories with added movement. Additionally HERE maps will be included providing free maps and turn-by-turn navigation.

“With our largest smartphone screen to date, the Nokia Lumia 625 is a perfect example of how Nokia is delivering leading smartphone innovation and experiences at every price point,” said Jo Harlow, executive vice president, Nokia Smart Devices.

Nokia says the estimated price of the Lumia 625 will be 220 Euros (which is about $320 Australian Dollars) and is due to be released during Q3 2013 in China, Europe, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
