Brisbane-based gaming PC builders FRAG LABS will use PAX Australia to launch its new 13.3-inch Vector W230ST gaming laptop. Based on the Clevo Horize W230ST, packed inside the Vector is a fourth-gen ‘Haswell’ Intel Core i7 CPU, an NVIDIA GTX 765 2GB GPU, and a 128GB SSD drive.

The base model comes with a quad-core Core i7-4700MQ 2.4GHz CPU, a 13.3-inch full HD 1080p display, and 8GB of DDR3 RAM. It can be modified to include quad-core 2.7GHz i7-4800MQ, 2.7GHz i7-4900 or an extreme “Haswell” 3.0GHz i7-4930MX processor; 16GB of DDR3 RAM; and storage options of either 256GB (as a single drive or two 128GB drives) or 512GB (as 256GB drives).

Other customisable options include adding another hard drive (750GB or 1TB); and a choice of operating system of Windows 7, Windows 8 (you will need to pay extra for that) or Linux. You do have an option to not choose an operating system – which I’m under the assumption that you will need to provide your own OS.

The base model starts from $1349, with the base model with Windows 8 or Windows 7 Home Premium costs $1447. You can preorder from the FRAG LABS website. If you’re attending PAX Australia, they are in booth 1412 and will be showcasing this laptop as well as their other Vector series of gaming laptops.
