With the success of Machinima’s Mortal Kombat: Legacy, Kevin Tancharoen returns to co-write and direct Season 2. With more story and epic fight scenes!
The cast includes Harry Shum, Jr. (Glee) as Kuai Liang (Sub-Zero), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) as Johnny Cage, Brian Tee (The Wolverine) as Liu Kang, Mark Dacascos (Hawaii Five-0) as Kung Lao, Samantha Tjhia (Man of Steel) as Kitana, Michelle Lee (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End) as Mileena, Ian Anthony Dale (Hawaii Five-O) as Scorpion and, reprising his role from the 1995 Mortal Kombat film, Cary Tagawa (Revenge) as Shang Tsung. Also from the trailer, Ermac, Kung Lao, Kenshi and Stryker will make an appearance as well.
Check out the trailer below, which was shown during the Streamy Awards on Sunday.
No date has been announced for the debut of Season 2, but its Koming Soon. The series looks to include more story behind the characters, mainly Liu Kang, Scorpion and Subzero, and a lot more intense fighting scenes. Hopefully some of the other MK characters make a cameo appearance, like Cyrax, Kabal, or Smoke.
