ALCATEL ONE TOUCH IDOL ULTRA SMARTPHONE

You may not know this in Australia, but Alcatel makes smartphones with the help of TCL Communications. Well, TCL has announced at CES that it will be bringing in the world’s slimmest smartphone, the ONE TOUCH Idol Ultra; in addition to a phone that aims to compete with the Galaxy Note from Samsung, the ONE TOUCH Scribe HD.

The Idol Ultra breaks the record at 6.45mm thin, and will feature a 4.7-inch HD AMOLED display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and an 8MP camera that also records in full HD 1080p. It will run Android Jelly Bean – and TCL has been light on the details about the phone for some reason.

The ONE TOUCH Scribe HD (the last image below) has a 5-inch HD screen, and will run the Taiwanese semiconducter maker MediaTek’s newest chip – MT6589 quad-core chipset. The phone promises to offer faster Internet performance, smooth user experience and have brilliant graphics. It will also support 4G, an 8-megapxiel camera with a front-facing camera that records in 720p HD. It runs on Jelly Bean as well.
