Optus has today announced that its two Windows Phone 8 devices – Windows Phone 8S by HTC and the Nokia Lumia 820 – are now available for pre-order.

The Windows Phone 8S will be available for $0 upfront from its $35 plan (200MB of data, unlimited text and $200 worth of calls) and up. The phone features a 4-inch super LCD display, 5-megapixel camera, a dual-core 1GHz processor, 4GB of memory (also expandable through an SD card slot) and Beats Audio support. It will be on Optus’ 3G network.

The Lumia 820, however, will be on Optus’ 4G network; and features an 8-megapixel camera, 8GB of storage (that is also expandable), a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, and a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display. Unlike the Lumia 920, however, it does not feature its PureView technology. The phone will be available for $0 upfront on its $50 plan (1GB of data, $500 worth of calls, unlimited text).

Those wanting to pre-order can do so online, or by phone.
