Quickflix, the Australian version of Netflix where you can stream and rent (by mail) movies and TV shows, is now on the Xbox LIVE service. Now available in the Marketplace, it was long overdue because it was meant to come out in September, according to its announcement a few months back.

Quickflix now joins ABC iView, SBS on Demand and Foxtel as being the only Australian-based streaming services on the platform. Quickflix is also available on the PlayStation 3, several TVs and through PCs, tablets and smartphones.

If you want to use it, you will need to pay for a subscription. If you want unlimited streaming only, then you will need to pay $14.99 for their Play plan. If you want to have the option to have DVDs sent to you, then you will have to pay $24.99 for 4 DVDs per month, or $29.99 for unlimited DVDs. Both have unlimited streaming.

Also announced quietly was the availability of WSJ Live – the Wall Street Journal’s online video site featuring live and on-demand programming. It promises to keep you up to date with the latest news in finance, tech and around the world with its 2,000 reporters around the globe.
