
Optus has announced that it will be the exclusive carrier for the HTC Incredible S handset, breaking a long time preference by the Taiwanese mobile maker to have either Vodafone or Telstra has exclusive carriers of its feature handsets.
The phone, featuring a 4-inch LCD screen with a 1GHz processor, will also be the carrier’s first Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone.It also has an 8-megapixel rear camera with 720p HD video recording and dual flash, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and 1.1GB of internal storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot. A 16GB microSD card will also be included.
The carrier plans to release the phone on May 1, with pricing for the device not yet released to the public.
