The supposed The Daily iPad newspaper is getting closer to reality after images of the app (albeit small) were discovered on the app’s new website after a bit of digging.
Damon Kiesow, from Poynter, went inside the CSS files of the paper’s site – thedaily.com – to find the image. And we can tell it will be in the traditional, Murdoch style with headlines such as “A Bridge to Farve” and “Oprah’s Biggest Gamble”.
Other items of interest include that the paper will heavily integrate social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter; an embeddable player that hint at both video and text reporting; and it being locked down via a paywall.
But we will have to wait and see on January 19, where both Jobs and Murdoch are to take the stage to introduce the paper.
