The Samsung Galaxy Tab is to get a Wi-Fi only version sometime in the first quarter of the year in the US, the South Korean electronics maker announced today at this year’s CES. The Wi-Fi only version will be essentially the same as the 3G/Wi-Fi model currently out now.
The Galaxy Tab runs on Android 2.2, and has a 7-inch display with 16GB of internal storage with expandable memory. The Galaxy Tab also has a 3-megapixel rear camera, with a 1.3-megapixel camera at the front for video calling.
The company also announced that the Galaxy Tab has reached 1.5 million global shipments.
International availability of a Wi-Fi only version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab has not been revealed.
